A RESOLUTION
Honoring Kellie Carmendy
as a 2010 Division I State Diving Championship Gold Medalist.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Kellie Carmendy on winning a gold medal at the 2010 Division I State Diving Championship; and |

WHEREAS, Kellie Carmendy is deserving of this distinction, which acknowledges the formidable athletic gifts and the competitive spirit that she has so amply revealed throughout the season as a standout for the Olentangy Liberty High School girls swimming and diving team. Commendably, she has exhibited the skill, strength, agility, and stamina that befit a genuine champion, and as a result, she placed first with a score of 418.65 in the one-meter diving event at this year's Division I State Diving Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of
self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through Kellie Carmendy's participation in diving, she has learned the important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout her life. It is no surprise that she has won so many admirers; and

| WHEREAS, Kellie Carmendy's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her this prestigious distinction, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Kellie Carmendy on her impressive accomplishment and extend best wishes for a bright, rewarding future; and be it further |
