Representative Huffman 

Honoring Trevor Meyer as a 2010 Skills USA State Champion.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:


       WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Trevor Meyer on winning first place in the automated manufacturing competition at the 2010 Skills USA Ohio Conference; and

       WHEREAS, A junior at Bluffton High School and the Apollo Career Center, Trevor Meyer has striven to develop his capabilities, and consequently, he and his teammates, Derek Hines and Mike Vorhes, placed first in the automated manufacturing competition at this year's Skills USA Ohio Conference to qualify for the national contest. An intelligent and motivated individual, he has amply demonstrated his ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence and has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results. Through his remarkable efforts, he has set an example worthy of emulation, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Trevor Meyer has striven to increase his knowledge and skills. Through his decisive leadership, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible young man, and we are certain that he will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which he has become known; and

       WHEREAS, Trevor Meyer's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his advisors, his schools, and his community. He has exhibited a sincere desire to do his best in all of his endeavors so that he might fulfill his goals in the future, and this, coupled with his maturity and initiative, shows his potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Trevor Meyer for outstanding achievement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Trevor Meyer.
