Honoring the University of Cincinnati
on being named to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the University of Cincinnati on being listed on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for 2010; and |

WHEREAS, The University of Cincinnati has played a significant role in maintaining the high standards found in Ohio's schools, and as a result of its dedication to educating the whole individual, it has achieved a praiseworthy record of service to the area and has become a model for schools across the country. With an unwavering commitment to educational excellence and community service, the faculty, staff, and administration of UC, have worked diligently to offer students a well balanced curriculum that seeks to develop their academic, emotional, social, and physical capabilities; and |
| WHEREAS, The students of UC have benefited greatly from the exemplary efforts of an enthusiastic and insightful administration and teaching staff, and having worked diligently to promote achievement in multiple facets of school life, the faculty of the school have the satisfaction of knowing that they have set an example worthy of emulation. The university's largest student-organized service program was the Relay For Life, and all those involved with this exemplary institution have earned the respect and gratitude of the community. It is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation's continued economic and social well-being, and as the need for global learning and understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon our system of education. The University of Cincinnati has consistently and effectively met these demands, and we are certain that the school's teachers and administrators will maintain their unfaltering devotion to helping students become capable and well rounded individuals; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the University of Cincinnati on its recent honor and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the University of Cincinnati. |
