A RESOLUTION

Representatives Celeste, Heard

Honoring the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority on its Fortieth Anniversary.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority on its Fortieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority, for throughout the past four decades, it has played a valuable role in our state. Created by the Ohio General Assembly in 1970, OAQDA has effectively assisted small and large Ohio businesses and organizations in improving their air quality facilities in order to comply with the Clean Air Act, implemented a program in conjunction with the Midwest Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership and the Ohio Coal Development Office, and assumed the administrating authority for the Ohio Advised Energy Job Stimulus Program, established under the auspices of House Bill 554, which was signed into law by Governor Strickland in 2008. These accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its hard-working staff and on the State of Ohio; and

WHEREAS, The Ohio Air Quality Development Authority has enhanced the quality of life within our state and has earned the gratitude and respect of many. We are certain that as this worthy agency maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; and

WHEREAS, Ohio's economic well-being depends on agencies to provide services to protect our environment. We are proud to note that it is through the diligent work of individuals such as all those associated with the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority, who are willing to invest in the future of their communities, that the State of Ohio remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority on its Fortieth Anniversary and salute it as one of Ohio's finest agencies; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority.
