A RESOLUTION
Honoring Andrews Osborne Academy
on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio
are pleased to commend Andrews Osborne Academy on its Centennial, observed September 25, 2010; and |
| WHEREAS, Congratulations are certainly in order, and it is fitting that this milestone be exuberantly
commemorated. Established through the merger of The Andrews School and The Phillips-Osborne School, Andrews
Osborne Academy has long become one of the area's most beloved institutions of learning, effectively responding
to an array of local educational needs by introducing countless youth to the benefits of knowledge, the delights of
friendship, and the value of self-reliance; and |
| WHEREAS, Andrews Osborne Academy is a co-educational, pre-kindergarten through twelfth-
grade college preparatory day and boarding school. Comprised of pupils from many different backgrounds, it has
consistently maintained its commitment to the ideals on which it was founded, never experiencing a shortage of able
instructors, efficient administrators, or diligent students who can be relied upon to nurture and enrich each other; and |
| WHEREAS, This closely knit scholastic community has championed ambitious standards and encouraged
lofty goals in all of its members. The remarkable people who currently direct and sustain Andrews Obsorne Academy,
not only caring for its physical structure but also initiating and supporting its many edifying works and programs, serve
area residents with vision and vigor, proving daily that they understand the importance of perpetuating the virtues of
the past, even while embracing the ideals of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly
of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Andrews Osborne Academy on one hundred years of educational
excellence and salute all those affiliated with this fine institution; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this
Resolution to Andrews Osborne Academy. |
