Honoring Nancy L. Zimpher
on her service as president of the University of Cincinnati.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Nancy L. Zimpher on her innumerable contributions to the University of Cincinnati; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout Nancy Zimpher's six-year tenure as president of the University of Cincinnati, she has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing her duties with the utmost efficiency and determination. A successful author and co-founder of Strive, she has displayed a genuine commitment to attaining her goals in a skillful and professional manner; and |

WHEREAS, Nancy Zimpher has fulfilled a multitude of responsibilities with competence during her impressive career in higher education. Since becoming UC's first female president in 2003, she has contributed greatly to the ongoing success of the university, including helping to increase research funding, attract better prepared incoming students, and maintain exceptional graduation and retention rates; and |
| WHEREAS, Whether occupying center stage or playing a key role in the wings, Nancy Zimpher has always made her dynamic presence felt. She can be proud that her commitment to the University of Cincinnati has impelled many to dedicate themselves similarly; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Nancy L. Zimpher for her outstanding professional achievement and salute her an oustanding Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nancy L. Zimpher. |
