A RESOLUTION
Honoring Rebecca "Ronnie" Conner
on receiving the Trumbull County Meritorious Service Award.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Rebecca "Ronnie" Conner as the recipient of the Trumbull County Meritorious Service Award; and |
| WHEREAS, Ronnie Conner is a truly remarkable woman, for she combined humanitarian concern with selfless initiative to assist a fellow citizen. A dispatcher with Trumbull County, she answered the 9-1-1 call of Mr. and Mrs. Wildman, whose 5-week old son was having trouble breathing and slipping in and out of consciousness. Reacting calmly and capably, she talked the parents through performing rescue breathing on their son until emergency personel arrived, and her actions prevented a tragedy from occurring; and |
| WHEREAS, Ronnie Conner has clearly shown the potential of each person to make a difference in the lives of others, and we applaud her on her efforts. Through her exceptional integrity, she has set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship that is worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Ronnie Conner has truly been an inspiration to many. Her behavior serves as a reminder that displaying compassion for others is not a thing of the past but is instead a value that is demonstrated daily by individuals such as she; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Rebecca "Ronnie" Conner on being presented with the Trumbull County Meritorious Service Award and salute her as a fine Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Rebecca "Ronnie" Conner. |
