A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Honoring Nathaniel P. West
as a 2009 Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| as a 2009 Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Nathaniel P. West on being named a 2009 United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts; and

| WHEREAS, An intelligent and motivated individual, Nathaniel West has striven to develop his knowledge and skills, and consequently, he was one of only one hundred forty students across the country selected as United States Presidential Scholars in the Arts this year. A student at Upper Arlington High School, he has amply demonstrated his ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence, and he has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results. Through his tremendous efforts, he has set an example worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Nathaniel West's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teachers, his school, and his community. He has exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop his talents so that he might fulfill his goals in the future, and this, coupled with his responsibility and initiative, shows his potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; and |
| WHEREAS, Undaunted by challenges, Nathniel West has always pursued his educational objectives with ambition and persistence, and understandably, his leadership, maturity, and self-discipline have won him a host of admirers. With his vitality, intelligence, and positive outlook, he has set a fine example for his peers; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Nathaniel P. West on his recent achievement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nathaniel P. West. |
