A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Centerburg High School Knowledge Bowl team
as the 2009 State Knowledge Bowl Champion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Centerburg High School Knowledge Bowl team on winning the senior division of the 2009 State Knowledge Bowl Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the CHS Knowledge Bowl team are a remarkable group of young academicians, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge in a wide range of subjects to win their division of this year's State Knowledge Bowl Championship. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, members Sierra Long, Kirsten Litzenberg, Katie Hogan, Samantha Ballog, Caitlin Andrews, Shelly Milburn, Mark Lewis, Matt Runyon, Donald Bailey, Brandon Poland, Scott Thomas, and Kyle Siebold have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and |

WHEREAS, Competitive spirit and innovative effort have played major roles in the development of our country. The drive to excel is best developed when youth are presented with trials that permit them to test their skills, knowledge, and strengths against their peers; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of the CHS Knowledge Bowl team is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by Coach Ed Lambert, who has given tirelessly of his time, energy, and expertise to guide the members. The maturity and experience the students have gained through their participation in this competition will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Centerburg High School Knowledge Bowl team on its exemplary performance at the 2009 State Knowledge Bowl Championship and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Centerburg High School Knowledge Bowl team. |
