A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Green High School Academic Challenge team
as the 2009 Ohio Academic Challenge State Champion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Green High School Academic Challenge team on winning the 2009 Ohio Academic Challenge State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Green High School Academic Challenge team are a remarkable group of young academicians, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge in a wide range of subjects to win this year's Ohio Academic Challenge State Championship title. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, members Bijan Aboutorabi, Carly Shiner, Nathan Abrams, Morgan Mattingly, Jim Torok, and Madison Walker have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of the Green High School Academic Challenge team is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by Coach Elaine Miller, who has given tirelessly of her time, energy, and expertise to guide the members. The maturity and experience the students have gained through their participation in Academic Challenge will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments of the Green High School Academic Challenge team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their advisor, and their school. Through their tremendous efforts, these young men and women have set an example worthy of emulation; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Green High School Academic Challenge team for outstanding achievement and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Green High School Academic Challenge team. |
