A RESOLUTION
Honoring Tammy Berger as the 2009 Division III State Cross Country Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Tammy Berger on winning the 2009 Division III State Cross Country Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Tammy Berger is deserving of recognition for her outstanding accomplishments as a member of the Versailles High School cross country team. A fine young athlete, she placed first at this year's Division III State Meet with a time of 18:47.94, and her record of personal attainment stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, By developing such exceptional prowess as a distance runner, Tammy Berger has earned the appreciation of her fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even her most determined rivals. Cross country has enabled her to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and perseverance, and we take this opportunity to honor her for her exceptional achievement; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Tammy Berger on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in sports will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Tammy Berger as the 2009 Division III State Cross Country Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tammy Berger. |
