A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross on its Centennial.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

       WHEREAS,  Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross, for throughout the last century, it has attained a remarkable record of service. Chartered August 6, 1910, by Mable Boardman, the chapter provides disaster relief, contact with deployed loved ones for military families, and public education in safety, first aid, and communicable diseases, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its hard-working staff and volunteers, for these individuals have distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and

       WHEREAS,  Over the years, the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross has enhanced the quality of life in our society, and through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of many. We are certain that as this worthy organization maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been the hallmark of the American Red Cross; and

       WHEREAS,  We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of organizations such as the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross.
