A RESOLUTION
Honoring Jamie Scherer as the winner of the 9th District Congressional Art Competition.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Jamie Scherer on winning the 9th District Congressional Art Competition; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Whitmer High School, Jamie Scherer has demonstrated exemplary initiative, enthusiasm, and perseverance in developing and sharing her skills, and as a result, her entry, entitled "Metamorphosis," won the 9th District Congressional Art Competition and will be exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her a reputation as a truly gifted artist; and |
| WHEREAS, Displaying discipline, determination, and resolve, Jamie Scherer has identified herself as a conscientious and hard-working student. She has striven to develop her special talents of expression, and through her art, she has touched, inspired, and gained the respect of countless individuals; and |
| WHEREAS, The knowledge and self-confidence Jamie Scherer has gained through her participation in events such as the 9th District Congressional Art Competition will no doubt be of great benefit to her throughout her lifetime. We are certain that as she continues to pursue her artistic interests, she will make invaluable contributions to her community and to the world around her; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Jamie Scherer on her personal success and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jamie Scherer. |
