A RESOLUTION

Honoring Mike Grammer as the recipient of a Meritorious Lifesaving Award.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Mike Grammer, assistant manager of Mosquito Lake, on being presented with a Meritorious Lifesaving Award by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks and Recreation; and |
| WHEREAS, Mike Grammer is a truly remarkable man, for he combined humanitarian concern with selfless initiative to assist a fellow citizen. On September 14, 2008, the remnants of Hurricane Ike crossed the State of Ohio causing high gusts of wind and unprecedented waves on Mosquito Lake. During the windstorm, Mike Grammer was dispatched to assist and rescue a distressed boater whose boat was filling with water, and his actions prevented a tragedy from occurring; and |
| WHEREAS, Mike Grammer has clearly shown the potential of each person to make a difference in the life of another, and we applaud him on his efforts. Through his exceptional integrity, he has set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship that is worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Mike Grammer has truly been an inspiration to many. His unselfish behavior serves as a reminder that displaying compassion for others is not a thing of the past but is instead a value that is demonstrated daily by individuals such as he; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mike Grammer on his recent accolade and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mike Grammer. |
