A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Upper Arlington High School girls swimming and diving team on winning the 2010 Division I State Championship.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Upper Arlington High School girls swimming and diving team as the 2010 Division I State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Upper Arlington High School girls swimming and diving team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Golden Bears have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in swimming and diving, and as a result, they won the Division I State Championship title for the sixth consecutive year; and |
| WHEREAS, Coach Dan Peterkoski has demonstrated extraordinary energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Upper Arlington High School girls swimming and diving team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad's exemplary accomplishment. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the members have established themselves as winners, both in and out of the water, and he has earned the respect and admiration of many; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine athletes and their outstanding coach for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Upper Arlington High School girls swimming and diving team on its tremendous season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington High School girls swimming and diving team. |
