A RESOLUTION
Honoring the State Employment Relations Board on its Twenty-fifth Anniversary.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the State Employment Relations Board on the auspicious occasion of its Twenty-fifth Anniversary, April 1, 2009; and

       WHEREAS,  Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the State Employment Relations Board, for it has achieved a remarkable record of service to Ohio. Established in 1984 to administer the Ohio Public Employees' Collective Bargaining Act, SERB helps public sector employers, employees, and their representatives resolve and prevent workplace disputes, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the board itself but also on its dedicated members and hard-working staff; and

       WHEREAS,  Over the years, the State Employment Relations Board has enhanced the quality of life within the State of Ohio, and its generous contributions have earned it the respect and gratitude of all those it has so capably served. We are certain that as this worthy organization maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has been the hallmark of the board since its establishment, and it is truly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of agencies such as the State Employment Relations Board that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the State Employment Relations Board on its Twenty-fifth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the State Employment Relations Board.
