A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team as the 2010 JETS Division 3 National Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team on winning the Junior Engineering and Technical Society's 2010 Division 3 regional, state, and national championships; and

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team are a remarkable group of young academicians, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to place first at this year's regional, state, and national contests. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, members Shea Fitzgerald, Emma Shaw, Maggie Gray, Bette Hopkin, Richard Herndon, Susan Wallace, Tony Grigg, and Justin Dehan have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and

       WHEREAS,  In preparing themselves for this important contest, the members of the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team have had the opportunity to develop and express their individual abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that will be of great benefit to them throughout their lives. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they confronted competition with confidence and enthusiasm and distinguished themselves as worthy representatives of their school, community, and state; and

       WHEREAS,  The success of the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its advisor, Jeff Corn, who has given tirelessly of his time, energy, and expertise to guide the members. The group's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride not only for the students but also for their families, their advisor, their school, and their community. The maturity and experience the members have gained through their participation in JETS will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team for outstanding achievement and salute the members and advisor as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Madeira High School ninth- and tenth-grade JETS team.
