Honoring the Ohio Arts Presenters Network on its Fiftieth Anniversary.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ohio Arts Presenters Network on the auspicious occasion of its Fiftieth Anniversary, celebrated October 24-26, 2010; and

       WHEREAS,  Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Ohio Arts Presenters Network, for it has attained a remarkable record of service to the state throughout the last half century. Established in 1960, OAPN helps to develop business relationships, partnerships, and cooperative ventures between those involved in arts and entertainment, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on the astute management of its board, on its hard-working staff, on its members, and on the community; and

       WHEREAS,  The Ohio Arts Presenters Network has enhanced the quality of life in our society, and its generous contributions have earned it the gratitude and respect of many. We are certain that as this worthy agency maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; and

       WHEREAS,  The arts are invaluable for the development of the human spirit and provide a common ground for all people, never ceasing to renew, educate, enrich, and illuminate. In this time of increased emphasis on industry, science, and technology, it is reassuring to note that our nation's strong artistic heritage is being perpetuated and advanced through the efforts of concerned groups such as the Ohio Arts Presenters Network; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Ohio Arts Presenters Network on its Fiftieth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Arts Presenters Network.
