A RESOLUTION
Honoring Sara George Lewis for heroism.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Sara George Lewis for saving the lives of a woman and her three children; and |
WHEREAS, Sara Lewis is deserving of high praise, for she demonstrated an exceptional presence of mind of which she can be proud. While vacationing in Daytona Beach, she was boogie boarding when she heard cries for help, and she saw three children and their mother struggling to stay afloat; and |
WHEREAS, Without hesitation, Sara Lewis swam close to the individuals and aided them in swimming to the shore by using her boogie board as a floatation device. Her quick thinking and immediate action prevented a tragedy from occurring, and we applaud her on her tremendous efforts; and |
WHEREAS, Sara Lewis is certainly to be commended for her courage. At a time when many people are content to take a passive role in life, she took an active role in helping her fellow citizens, and she has earned the respect and admiration of the entire community; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Sara George Lewis for her heroism; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sara George Lewis. |
