A RESOLUTION



Senator Buehrer 

Honoring the Tinora Junior High School girls cross country team as the 2010 Division III State Champion.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Tinora Junior High School girls cross country team for winning the 2010 Division III State Championship; and

       WHEREAS,  Under the capable leadership of Coach Bryan Etzler, the Tinora Junior High School girls cross country team has proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned group of athletes, and they have gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for their dynamic and highly motivated performance. Throughout the season, members Emma Schafer, Courtney Bussing, Jillian Dietrich, Mina Moser, Hope Hornish, Allison Cereghin, Allison Helmke, Abbie McGuire, Emma Bowden, and Tara Lymanstall worked diligently to improve their speed and endurance, and as a result, the Rams won first place at the Division III State Middle School Cross Country Championship; and

       WHEREAS,  Known as a hard-driving, spirited team, the Rams have developed into a remarkably efficient group of athletes whose devotion to running is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork and sportsmanship. They are not only a credit to their families and their school, but they are also representative of the superb coaching ability of their mentor, Bryan Etzler; and

       WHEREAS,  The road to victory and a championship title is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of players and coaches alike. The members of the Tinora Junior High School girls cross country team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Tinora Junior High School girls cross country team on winning the 2010 Division III State Championship and commend all those associated with the success of this exceptional squad; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Tinora Junior High School girls cross country team.
