A RESOLUTION
Honoring Nate Kmic as the NCAA all-time leading rusher.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Nate Kmic on becoming the NCAA all-time leading rusher; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Nate Kmic has clearly demonstrated talent and motivation as well as outstanding mental fortitude. A member of the Mount Union College football team, he was named an All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, and he holds all-division records for most career touchdowns and points. By running for an amazing 2,790 yards during his senior year, he became the NCAA all-time leading rusher with 8,074 yards overall during his career; and |
| WHEREAS, By developing such exceptional prowess, Nate Kmic has gained the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Participation in football has enabled him to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and perseverance, and we take this opportunity to recognize his exemplary record of achievement; and |
| WHEREAS, Football requires power and natural ability, and Nate Kmic is to be commended for his commitment to this demanding sport. In his journey to attain his athletic goals, and in all aspects of his life, he has consistently displayed the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Nate Kmic as the NCAA all-time leading rusher and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nate Kmic. |
