A RESOLUTION
Honoring Kim Johnson as Ohio's VFW Middle School Teacher of the Year.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Kim Johnson on being named the Middle School Teacher of the Year for Ohio and District 9 by the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious award is an honor of which Kim Johnson can be proud, for she has been recognized for her exceptional skill, commitment, and professionalism. A language arts and social studies teacher in the enriched program at Learwood Middle School, where she advances awareness of veterans and their importance, she has worked diligently to channel the natural energy and curiosity of young people into meaningful inquiry, thereby helping them gain a better understanding of the complex world around them. By presenting lessons in an interesting and comprehensible manner, she has consistently inspired her students to excel; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, Kim Johnson has made many significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our society. Through her decisive leadership and unfaltering dedication to service, she has certainly distinguished herself as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her career in the field of education, Kim Johnson has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped to nurture within them a desire for academic excellence. Willingly giving of her time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, she has earned the respect and gratitude of her colleagues, her community, and, most importantly, her students for her genuine love of teaching, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Kim Johnson on her recent accolades and salute her as one of Ohio's finest educators; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kim Johnson. |
