Honoring Jami Berling as a 2009 Ohio Middle School State Track and Field Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Jami Berling on winning the 2009 Ohio Middle School State Track and Field Championship in the 100-meter hurdles; and |
| WHEREAS, An eighth-grade student at Deer Park Junior High School, Jami Berling has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she won first place in the 100-meter hurdles at this year's state meet; and |
| WHEREAS, Jami Berling's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Jami Berling on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Jami Berling as the 2009 Ohio Middle School State Track and Field 100-meter hurdles champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jami Berling. |
