A RESOLUTION
Honoring Local 476 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Local 476 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades on the auspicious occasion of its Centennial; and |
WHEREAS, Celebration of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to Local 476, for over the past ten decades, this fine organization has become a valuable community resource. Since its establishment on July 26, 1909, the group has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and its achievements are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the union itself but also on its members, on the community, and on the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades; and |
WHEREAS, All those associated with Local 476, both past and present, have distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans, and they are truly deserving of high praise. We are certain that as this worthy union maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been the hallmark of IUPAT; and |
WHEREAS, The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades is comprised of painters, drywall finishers, wall and floor coverers, glaziers, sign makers, display workers, and convention and trade show decorators, and we pay tribute to this fine group on the occasion of the One Hundredth Anniversary of Local 476, for the members of the organization have the opportunity to reaffirm their goals and to formulate policies to meet the challenges and responsibilities of the future. It is through the diligence of agencies such as IUPAT that our state has gained a reputation as a friendly, productive, and safe place in which to live and work; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Local 476 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Local 476 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. |
