A RESOLUTION



Senators Harris, Buehrer, Cafaro, Carey, Cates, Coughlin, Faber, Fedor, Gibbs, Gillmor, Goodman, Grendell, Hughes, Husted, Kearney, Miller, D., Miller, R., Morano, Niehaus, Patton, Sawyer, Schaffer, Schiavoni, Schuring, Seitz, Smith, Stewart, Strahorn, Turner, Wagoner, Widener, Wilson 

In memory of the Honorable Bob Schuler.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the Honorable Bob Schuler in their time of bereavement; and

       WHEREAS,  Bob Schuler's zealous love of life and his selfless concern for the welfare of others distinguished him as an outstanding human being and a leading citizen. A former councilman for Deer Park, a trustee for Sycamore Township, and a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, he joined the Ohio Senate in 2003, serving as chair of the Reference and Energy and Public Utilities committees and a member of the Rules and Ways and Means and Economic Development committees, and his exemplary career will serve as an inspiration to all who knew him; and

       WHEREAS,  A man of exceptional compassion and insight, Bob Schuler also achieved a remarkable record of service as president of the OKI Regional Council of Governments, Sycamore Senior Center, the Scarlet Oaks Schools Business Advisory Council, and the Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission and Transportation Improvement District. In addition, he received various accolades, including the Ohio Parks and Recreation, Hamilton County Township Association, and Ohio AMVETS Legislator of the Year awards; and

       WHEREAS,  Never content to take a passive role in life, Bob Schuler was a loyal husband to his wife, Shelagh, a proud father to his two children, a devoted grandfather to his five grandchildren, and a dedicated public servant. The legacy of care and commitment he established will stand as a monument to his personal character; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the memory of a truly honorable man, the Honorable Bob Schuler; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of the Honorable Bob Schuler.
