A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Ross High School softball team as the 2009 Division II State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Ross High School softball team on winning the 2009 Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The talented Ross High School softball team is to be heartily commended, for this season, the Rams bested the team from Bellville Clear Fork High School by a score of 4-2 to win the Division II State Championship and finished the season with a 26-7 record. The unwavering commitment of the players and coach has earned them this prestigious distinction, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Coach Paul Fernandez has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Ross High School softball team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishment. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the Rams have established themselves as winners, both in and out of athletic competition, and he has earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine athletes and their exemplary coach for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Ross High School softball team as the 2009 Division II State Champion and extend best wishes to the players and coach for continued success in the years to come; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ross High School softball team. |
