A RESOLUTION



Senator Harris 

Honoring Donald W. Freels on his retirement from the Ohio Association of Realtors.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Donald W. Freels on the auspicious occasion of his retirement as chief executive officer of the Ohio Association of Realtors; and

       WHEREAS,  Throughout more than thirty-nine years in the real estate industry, Donald Freels has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as the executive vice president of the Michigan Association of Realtors and the Northwest Suburban and Lake County boards of Realtors before becoming chief executive officer of the Ohio Association of Realtors in 1992, and under his leadership, OAR's staff was reorganized, a new computer system and local area network were installed, a Web site was created, and a major building renovation project was completed; and

       WHEREAS,  Donald Freels is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the State of Ohio. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to bettering the world around him; and

       WHEREAS,  The enthusiasm and expertise Donald Freels has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been associated. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a vital service to the state and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Donald W. Freels on his exemplary service and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Donald W. Freels.
