A RESOLUTION
Honoring Malaya Sherman as a 2011 American Cheer Power National Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Malaya Sherman on winning first place at the 2011 American Cheer Power National Cheerleading Competition; and |
| WHEREAS, A student at Pleasant Street Elementary School, Malaya Sherman is deserving of praise, for she has combined talent and initiative with good sportsmanship to excel in an activity that requires precision, skill, and split-second timing. Through her participation in cheerleading, she has learned lessons of self-discipline and perseverance that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her as she meets the challenges of the future; and |
| WHEREAS, Malaya Sherman has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as a result, she received first-place honors for her performance at this year's American Cheer Power National Cheerleading Competition. She has become known as one of the finest young cheerleaders in the country, and her enthusiasm and competitive spirit have served as an inspiration to her peers; and |
| WHEREAS, Malaya Sherman's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family and her community. She represents other young people who, even at an early age, have established high personal goals and have worked diligently to reach their potential; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Malaya Sherman on her personal success and salute her as an outstanding young Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Malaya Sherman. |
