A RESOLUTION
Honoring Tori Meyer on winning the 2011 OHSAA Division III State Championship in the pole vault.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Tori Meyer as the 2011 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division III State Pole Vault Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Tori Meyer is deserving of recognition for the remarkable athletic gifts and indomitable spirit that she has so amply displayed as a member of the Patrick Henry High School girls track and field team. An exceptional athlete, she advanced to the OHSAA Division III State Track and Field Meet, where she earned this year's pole vault title with a jump of twelve feet, eight inches, setting a state meet and stadium record. Her noteworthy record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and |
| WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Tori Meyer has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her throughout her life. Time and again, she has risen to the occasion, maintaining her morale, composure, and good sportsmanship; and |
| WHEREAS, Tori Meyer's exceptional prowess has made her family, her friends, and her school very proud. Through her outstanding efforts, she has inspired countless individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor, and she has set an example worthy of the highest praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we applaud Tori Meyer on her recent achievements and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
