A RESOLUTION
Honoring Jen Bjelac on winning the 2011 Division II State Championship in the long jump.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Jen Bjelac as the 2011 Division II State Champion in the long jump; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Newton Falls High School, Jen Bjelac has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as a result, she won first place in the long jump with a leap of eighteen feet, three inches at this year's Division II State Meet; and |
| WHEREAS, Jen Bjelac's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, Jon Culp, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Jen Bjelac on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Jen Bjelac as the 2011 Division II State Champion in the long jump and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jen Bjelac. |
