A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team as the 2011 Ohio Middle School Lacrosse Association Division II State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team on winning the 2011 Ohio Middle School Lacrosse Association Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team are excellent young athletes, and they have established themselves as a truly exceptional squad. This season, the Vikings have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they secured this year's Ohio Middle School Lacrosse Association Division II State Championship by defeating a tough Hyatts Middle School team by a score of 6-3. The unwavering commitment of the players and coaches has earned them this prestigious distinction, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Coach John Elffers and his assistants have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team to victory, and their skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishment. Due largely to their tireless efforts, the members have established themselves as winners, both in and out of athletic competition, and they have earned the respect and admiration of all who know them; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team as the 2011 Ohio Middle School Lacrosse Association Division II State Champion and salute all those who contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Hudson Middle School eighth-grade boys lacrosse team. |
