A RESOLUTION
In memory of Hubert Heard.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Hubert Heard and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends; and |
| WHEREAS, Hubert Heard will long be remembered as a man who contributed a great deal to his community and state. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by Stride and the State of Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, from which he retired, and he was involved in various capacities with President Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty and the Columbus Metropolitan Association Community Action Organization; and |
| WHEREAS, Hubert Heard's zealous love of life and his selfless devotion to the welfare of others distinguished him as an outstanding human being and a leading citizen. Giving generously of his energy and abilities in all of his endeavors, he displayed exceptional concern and insight, and his absence will be keenly felt; and |
| WHEREAS, In his various roles as a loving husband to his wife, the late Loretta, a devoted father to his three children, Howard, Lindell, and Robert, and the proud grandfather of many grandchildren, Hubert Heard always used his talents to the benefit of those around him, and the warmth and understanding he readily extended to those around him will stand as a testament to his personal character. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, express a profound sense of loss and sincere regret at the death of Hubert Heard and, in so doing, pay tribute to the memory of a truly unique individual; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Hubert Heard. |
