A RESOLUTION
Speaker Batchelder Representatives Barnes, Boyd
Honoring Rita Haynes on her retirement as chief executive officer of Faith Community United Credit Union.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Rita Haynes on the memorable occasion of her retirement as chief executive officer of Faith Community United Credit Union; and |
WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished career with Faith Community United Credit Union, Rita Haynes has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing her duties and fulfilling her responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Previously serving the former Mount Sinai Credit Union as a volunteer for twenty-seven years, she has worked more than twenty-three years as its treasurer, manager, and chief executive officer, and under her astute guidance, the credit union changed its charter to serve all of Cuyahoga County, initiated programs to help those in need, became a designated Community Development Financial Institution, and increased its membership to more than 6,300 people and its assets to more than $10 million. In addition, she has been active with the African American Credit Union Coalition, the Inner City Association of Minority Credit Unions, and the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, testified before state and federal legislative committees, and received various honors and awards; and |
WHEREAS, Rita Haynes is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the Greater Cleveland community. Always sincere and energetic in her approach to her work, she has given generously of her time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Rita Haynes has shown in her endeavors have earned her the respect and admiration of all those with whom she has been associated. As she retires, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has provided a valuable service to the community and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Rita Haynes on her retirement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Rita Haynes. |
