A RESOLUTION
Honoring Allison Bates as the 2011 All-American Soap Box Derby Masters Division Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Allison Bates on winning the masters division of the 74th All-American Soap Box Derby; and |
| WHEREAS, Together with car handler, Paul Durst, Allison Bates designed and built a gravity-powered car, and through her tremendous efforts, she excelled at this year's All-American Soap Box Derby, winning the Masters Division Championship title. Displaying sportsmanship and craftsmanship, she has amply demonstrated her ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence, as well as an exceptional willingness to work hard to attain superior results, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Allison Bates' accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family and on the entire Twinsburg community. She has exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop her capabilities so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; and |
| WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Allison Bates has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible young woman. Through her remarkable efforts, she has set an example worthy of emulation, and we are certain that she will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which she has become known; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Allison Bates for outstanding achievement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Allison Bates. |
