A RESOLUTION
Honoring Alice Barron being named the 2010 ODRC Parole Officer of the Year.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Alice Barr on receiving the 2010 Parole Officer of the Year Award from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction; and |
| WHEREAS, Alice Barr is truly worthy of recognition, and congratulations are certainly in order. A parole officer with ODRC's New Philadelphia office, she has been instrumental in assisting the victims of crimes and educating their offenders, and she has participated in the activities of such organizations as the Stark County Homeless Collaborative and the Harrison County Women's Domestic Violence and Tuscarawas County LEADS task forces; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Alice Barr has fulfilled her myriad duties with the utmost efficiency and competence. Being selected as Ohio's Parole Officer of the Year is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her, but also on her family, her supervisors, her colleagues, her department, and her community; and |
| WHEREAS, At a time when many people are content to take a passive role in life, Alice Barr has chosen a vocation through which she has often risked her own safety to ensure the well-being of her fellow citizens, and her enthusiasm and devotion to duty have earned her the respect and gratitude of her peers and of the community she has so capably served; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Alice Barr for outstanding accomplishment and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Alice Barr. |
