A RESOLUTION
Honoring Wayne Webb on being inducted into the 2011 United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Wayne Webb on his induction into the 2011 United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame; and |
| WHEREAS, It is no surprise that Wayne Webb has been selected for this esteemed distinction, for he has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in bowling, and as a result, he won twenty titles during his 1978 to 1997 career tour with the Professional Bowlers Association and was named the 2008 Rookie of the Year on the PBA Senior Tour and the 2010 PBA Senior Player of the Year. In addition, he won the 2010 USBC Senior Masters, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Time and again, Wayne Webb has risen to the occasion, maintaining his morale, composure, and good sportsmanship, and he has gained the respect of even his most determined rivals. Through his commitment to excellence and to the perfection of his technique, he has distinguished himself as a true champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Wayne Webb's accomplishments in the sport of bowling are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family and his community. His exceptional record of personal success stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation, and he has inspired countless individuals to excel in numerous areas of endeavor; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Wayne Webb on being inducted into the 2011 United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Wayne Webb. |
