A RESOLUTION

Honoring WYTV as a 2011 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award recipient.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate WYTV on receiving a 2011 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association; and |
| WHEREAS, Since 1971, the Edward R. Murrow Awards have honored outstanding achievements in journalism, and this prestigious distinction has been accorded to WYTV in the video continuing coverage category of the small television market for Region 7. Reporter Peggy Sinkovich and videographer Nick Rich excelled in their coverage of a case of excessive police force in the arrest of a disabled man, and their work appeared not only on WYTV but also on all the stations owned or operated by New Vision Television. Since its establishment, the station has provided exemplary broadcast service to the Youngstown area and has become well-known for its quality programming; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, WYTV has provided comprehensive coverage of current events at the local, state, national, and international levels, while maintaining the flexibility necessary to meet the changing needs and interests of area viewers. Entertaining, educational, and informative, this exceptional station has earned the loyalty of a large and ever-increasing audience and has certainly distinguished itself as one of Ohio's finest television stations; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of any television station depends largely on the devotion and hard work of its management and staff. The expertise and commitment of WYTV's employees and the astute and insightful leadership of its managers have earned the station the respect and appreciation of the entire community, and we applaud all those associated with WYTV for their integrity, skill, and unwavering dedication to excellence; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend WYTV on its recent accolade and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to WYTV. |
