Representative Peterson 

Honoring Julia Shappert as the 2011 Miss Ohio American Teen.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Julia Shappert on being crowned Miss Ohio American Teen for 2011; and

       WHEREAS,  An intelligent, poised, and motivated young woman, Julia Shappert has developed her knowledge and skills and has striven to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence. An honors student in the Ohio Virtual Academy, the president of the Scioto Scrappin' and More 4-H Club, a 4-H state ambassador, a dancer with BalletMet for its Nutcracker and Holiday Pops shows, a high school math tutor, and a member of the Con Brio Children's Choir, she has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to attain superior results, and consequently, she was selected as the 2011 Miss Ohio American Teen, our state's representative to this year's Miss American Teen national pageant; and 

       WHEREAS,  Julia Shappert has derived extra energy from her many activities and accomplishments, and her integrity and steadfast determination are truly admirable. Indeed, her amiable style will carry her far beyond this event and will be of great value to her in the years to come; and

       WHEREAS,  The achievements of Julia Shappert are a justifiable source of pride not only for her family and friends but also for the entire community. She has shown a sincere desire to fully develop her talents so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Julia Shappert on her recent honor and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Julia Shappert.
