Honoring Robert J. Joyce on his retirement from Westfield Group.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Robert J. Joyce on the occasion of his retirement as chief executive officer of Westfield Group; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, which has spanned thirty years in business administration, Bob Joyce has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. A former employee in various senior leadership positions with Reliance Insurance Group, he joined Westfield Group in 1996, and under his astute guidance as chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and president, the firm has received numerous awards and honors, including being listed among the Top Ten Best Employers in Ohio by the Society for Human Resource Management; and |
| WHEREAS, A U.S. Naval Reserve veteran of Operation Desert Storm, Bob Joyce is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in his field. The founder of the Westfield Insurance Foundation, he is active with such groups as the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, the Griffith Insurance Education Foundation, the Cleveland Playhouse Square Foundation, and the Team Northeast Ohio Board of Trustees, and he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, displaying a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Bob Joyce has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been associated. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Robert J. Joyce on his retirement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Robert J. Joyce. |
