A RESOLUTION
Representatives Pelanda, Rosenberger, Adams, J., McGregor, Martin, Hackett
Honoring the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America on being ranked first in the nation.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America on being ranked first in the United States by the National Organization of the Boy Scouts of America; and |
WHEREAS, This prestigious ranking is based on the National Journey to Excellence Award, which measures the success of Boy Scout councils in the key areas of program, unit service, finance, membership, leadership, and governance, and by achieving a score of 1600, all those associated with the Tecumseh Council, including its executive director, Jim Nolan, its unit leaders, its donors, and its executive board and county district committee members, have set an example worthy of emulation. This noteworthy organization has made many significant contributions to the area and has earned the well-deserved respect and appreciation of all those it has served; and |
WHEREAS, Scouting combines the wisdom and leadership of adults with the enthusiasm and optimism of youth so that our young people will be better prepared to meet the challenges of the future. The many individuals who have been involved with the work of the Tecumseh Council are to be commended for their tremendous efforts to help others, and they are deserving of the highest praise; and |
WHEREAS, Willingly giving of their time, energy, and abilities, the members and leaders of the Tecumseh Council have worked tirelessly to better the world around them. Their unwavering commitment to the highest standards of service will ensure that the Boy Scouts of America will continue its tradition of excellence long into the future; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America on its recent honor and salute all those who have contributed to its success; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America. |
