A RESOLUTION
Honoring Steven Weaver as a 2011 Division II State Cross Country Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Steven Weaver on placing first at the 2011 Division II Cross Country Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Steven Weaver has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his mental and physical fortitude as a long distance runner. As this year's Division II State Champion, he finished the race with a time of 15:25.09, and he has exemplified the courage, determination, and innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world; and |
| WHEREAS, Long distance running is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Steven Weaver is to be commended for his commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; and |
| WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional ability as a member of the Napoleon High School cross country team, Steven Weaver has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge his outstanding record of achievement; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Steven Weaver as a 2011 Division II State Cross Country Champion and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Steven Weaver. |
