Honoring Brittany Atkinson as the 2011 Division III State Girls Cross Country Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Brittany Atkinson on winning the 2011 Division III State Championship in girls cross country; and |
| WHEREAS, A freshman at Liberty Center High School, Brittany Atkinson has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in cross country, and as a result, she won this year's Division III State Championship title with a time of 18:27.51; and |
| WHEREAS, Brittany Atkinson's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, Tim Atkinson, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her this well-deserved distinction, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Brittany Atkinson on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in cross country will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Brittany Atkinson on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
