A RESOLUTION
Honoring the City of New Albany for excellence in financial reporting.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the City of New Albany as the recipient of a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association; and |
| WHEREAS, The City of New Albany is deserving of high praise, for it has been singled out as meeting the highest quality standards established for state and local record keeping and financial reporting. The city has completed and submitted its comprehensive annual financial report in a timely manner and had no significant concerns in its audit report, and it also received an Award of Distinction and a Making Your Tax Dollars County Award from Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost. These accomplishments are truly laudable; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, New Albany has enjoyed the benefits of a generous and civic-minded population, and those who currently make the city their home take great pride in their community and its rich heritage. Without sacrificing their sense of tradition in the name of progress, the people of New Albany have managed to nurture a fresh perspective and a positive outlook that endear this distinctive place to all who know it well; and |
| WHEREAS, America is only as strong as her individual communities, which are unique and which make a significant contribution to the culture of our state and nation. Throughout its history, the City of New Albany has become known for its residents' cooperation, integrity, and willingness to work hard, remarkable qualities that are still manifested by its citizens today; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the City of New Albany on its recent accolades and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of New Albany. |
