A RESOLUTION



Representatives Buchy, Adams, R., Blair, Blessing 

In memory of Gene Riegle.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Gene Riegle in their time of bereavement; and

       WHEREAS,  Gene Riegle's zealous love of life and his selfless concern for the welfare of others distinguished him as an outstanding human being and as a leading citizen. The love, compassion, and understanding he so readily extended to others will long remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew him; and 

       WHEREAS,  A man of exceptional concern and insight, Gene Riegle was a horse driver and horse trainer, and he produced numerous champion pacers and trotters and authored a chapter describing the techniques for training pacers in The Care and Training of the Trotter and Pacer. His untiring efforts earned him many richly deserved accolades and honors, including being inducted into the Harness Racing Living Hall of Fame and the Ohio Harness Racing Hall of Fame; and

       WHEREAS,  Gene Riegle will long be remembered for his kindness and his unbridled love of horses. His generosity and warmth will stand as a testament to his personal character, and he will be remembered fondly by all those who knew and loved him, including his wife, Martha, his four children, Alan, Linda, Bruce, and Tami, and his eight grandchildren, Cary, Nikki, Chris, Laura, Chad, Taylor, Travis, and Trent; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the memory of a truly honorable man, Gene Riegle; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Gene Riegle.
