Honoring the Brunswick High School girls cross country team as the Division I State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Brunswick High School girls cross country team on winning the 2011 Division I State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Brunswick High School girls cross country team is an excellent young athlete, combining personal ability and competitive spirit with the loftiest ideals of good sportsmanship. With praiseworthy dedication, each member has worked diligently to develop her athletic skills, and the teams' exemplary performance throughout the season is ample evidence of each runner's self-discipline and determination; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the able guidance of Coach Kerry Hunter, the Blue Devils scored 113 points to win this year's state title. They have displayed great confidence and superior endurance, and their achievements are a warranted source of pride not only for them but also for their families, their school, and their community; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine athletes on their superlative showings. Throughout long hours of practice and competition, the members have consistently demonstrated the talent and motivation that are the hallmarks of true champions, and the maturity and experience they have gained through their participation in sports will undoubtedly assist them in meeting future challenges; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Brunswick High School girls cross country team on winning the 2011 Division I State Championship and salute the members as some of Ohio's finest young athletes; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Brunswick High School girls cross country team. |
