A RESOLUTION
Honoring Sammy Gross as a 2012 Division III State Wrestling Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Sammy Gross on winning the 2012 Division III State Wrestling Championship in the 113-pound weight class; and |
| WHEREAS, Sammy Gross' outstanding ability and spirited drive, as well as his quickness and tenacity, have distinguished him as a superior athlete. A sophomore at Beachwood High School, he secured this year's Division III State Championship title in the 113-pound weight class and finished the season with a 48-1 record, and it is no surprise that he has won so many admirers; and |
| WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment more than wrestling. Champion wrestlers such as Sammy Gross exemplify the qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including integrity, agility, conditioning, and focus. Throughout long hours of practice and competition, he demonstrated the talent and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true athlete; and |
| WHEREAS, Sammy Gross has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young athlete. His enthusiastic involvement in wrestling has enabled him to learn much about dedication, discipline, and leadership, and in the process, his exceptional prowess has made his coach, his school, and his family and friends very proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Sammy Gross on his personal success and salute him as a fine Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sammy Gross. |
