A RESOLUTION
Honoring Alex Obendorf on winning a 2012 Division I State Swimming and Diving Championship.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Alex Obendorf as the 2012 Division I State Champion in the boys 1-meter diving event; and |
| WHEREAS, A member of the Hudson High School swimming and diving team, Alex Obendorf has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship, and as a result, he won the boys 1-meter diving event at this year's Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him this prestigious honor; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to congratulate Alex Obendorf on an exemplary season. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example for others; and |
| WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment more than diving, and athletes such as Alex Obendorf exemplify the qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including agility, conditioning, and focus. Clearly, his exceptional prowess has made his family and friends very proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Alex Obendorf on his recent achievement and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Alex Obendorf. |
