A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Athletic Club of Columbus on its Centennial.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Athletic Club of Columbus on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated April 20, 2012; and |
| WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Athletic Club of Columbus, for throughout the last century, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the area. Founded in 1912 by local business professionals, the club merged with the Ohio Club in 1913 and dedicated its current building in 1915, and since its creation, it has promoted numerous social and athletic endeavors. The accomplishments of ACC are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its devoted members, for these individuals have certainly distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, the Athletic Club of Columbus has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of many. We are certain that as this worthy organization maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of groups such as the Athletic Club of Columbus that the State of Ohio has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work. The club is truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Athletic Club of Columbus on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Athletic Club of Columbus. |
