A RESOLUTION
Honoring Dr. Mark H. Erickson on his retirement as president of Wittenberg University.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Dr. Mark H. Erickson for his service as president of Wittenberg University; and |
| WHEREAS, As an educational administrator, Mark Erickson has displayed a genuine dedication to achieving his myriad goals in a skillful and professional manner. Previously the vice president of administrative and government affairs and an advisor to the president at Lehigh University, he became president at Wittenberg University in 2005, and during his tenure, he has encouraged innovative thinking, developed creative partnerships, and infused the curriculum with international perspective. In addition, he has made presentations at several national and international conferences, and he has been active with numerous professional associations and various local and regional boards; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mark Erickson has clearly shown the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. Over the years, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of diligent people such as Mark Erickson that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. To his credit, he has striven to advocate for higher education to the best of his ability, and we applaud him on his fine work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dr. Mark H. Erickson on his retirement and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Mark H. Erickson. |
