A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Fairborn High School senior flag line as the 2012 State Champion.
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Fairborn High School senior flag line on winning first place at the 2012 Ohio Indoor Performance Association State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The talented individuals who make up the Fairborn High School senior flag line are to be commended for their remarkable fitness and competitive drive, qualities which have figured prominently into the squad's impressive performance. To their credit, members Ashton Hearn, Elisabeth Ashbrook, Shawna Isaacs, Allyson Locke, Caitlann Walker, Megan Welch, Brianna Rike, and Abbigail Locke could always be counted on to execute even the most demanding routines with agility, precision, and exuberance, and as a result, their routine, entitled "Something Brief," won first place in the senior flag line category with a score of 93.4 at this year's OIPA State Championship, the school's second consecutive title; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coaches, Jason Combs and Alisha Hiehle, the members of the Fairborn High School senior flag line have trained diligently in order to ensure peak physical and mental conditioning, and their exceptional prowess has earned them many admirers. Participation in this exciting activity has enabled them to learn much about creative expression, self-discipline, leadership, and dedication, and clearly, the experience they have acquired is certain to benefit them in the years to come; and |
| WHEREAS, Their enthusiastic school spirit and love of sports has led the members of the Fairborn High School senior flag line to active and worthwhile participation in many extracurricular activities, and they have served as an inspiration to their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their families, their coaches, their school, and the State of Ohio, and they are, indeed, deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Fairborn High School senior flag line for exemplary achievement and salute its participants as some of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Fairborn High School senior flag line. |
